Hip Hop Costumes

Good Evening!! As many of you know, our girls spent last weekend working their tails off on our competition hip hop routine. After a rough start on Friday and an okay day Saturday, we finished strong on Sunday. Michelle and I are very happy with the end result and we celebrated with a little bit of conditioning (to remind us to keep a postitive attitude) and Frosty's from Wendy's (for a little team bonding and a reward for finishing strong).

As we mentioned at the parent meeting at the beginning of the season, we need to buy a hip hop costume. Well, the time has come to start making some purchases :) Our plan is to keep this as inexpensive as possible. The costume will include the following: t-shirt, tie, cargo shorts, black hoodie, red hi top converse. Michelle and I have been working hard to find items that are reasonably priced. Some of the items will be ordered online, but a few will need to be purchased individually.

The first item to be purchased individually is the BLACK HOODIE. I have placed 16 Hanes Black Hoodies on hold at Target. They are at the costumer service counter (at the front of the store). They are currently on sale for $10.00 and will be on hold until Friday night. The sale ends on Saturday. Please do your best to get to Target to buy this hoodie. They are under my name: Jenni :)

The second item needed to be purchased is red hi top converse. You can buy these anywhere you would like. Click this link to see the shoes: http://www.dresscodeclothing.com/product.asp?sku=M9621 . Sometimes you can find websites that have free shipping (i.e. www.Zappos.com)- allow enough time to have them shipped. You could also check out Journey's and other stores in the mall.

Please make sure that girls have the hoodie and shoes no later than October 20th.

Michelle and I will take care of the cargo shorts, ties, and t-shirts and will add this amount to the final dance team bill. If any of this will be a problem for you, please let us know. We will do our best to work it out. This should not be a burden on anyone!

Thanks for all that you do! This year is already off to a great start! We look forward to seeing all of the parents at our meeting on the 14th in my classroom at 7:00pm. :)
